YHA Swanage

Situated within the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site, YHA Swanage is a well-loved Youth Hostel and local community resource. Rocks, fossils, dinosaurs, cliffs and beaches reveal the story of evolution; a timeline stretching back millions of years to a world very different from today. Experiences go beyond marvelling at the natural world, YHA Swanage opens up a world of new possibilities for adventure and discovery from the doorstep.

YHA Swanage is one of the most popular Youth Hostels and is used by groups across the local community, from schools to sports clubs, and arts groups. It is also a venue for the Swanage Blues Festival.

Your donations, big or small, will go towards improving the educational facilities at YHA Swanage, to inspire and fire imaginations. Help us turn today’s fossil hunters into the geologists of tomorrow.

Last year 19,000 young people enjoyed visiting our Youth Hostel and the existing field studies centre, which is now in need of major refurbishment to meet expectations. We would like to continue to offer the opportunity for more young people to experience real adventure and hands-on learning. These amazing experiences can be life changing, raising attainment and aspirations and inspiring a love of learning.
